How to Heal Faster Than Your Friends Think Is Possible

If you and I were out dress shopping together, giggling as we navigated the racks, and then decided we needed a little pick-me-up at our favorite local coffee shop—sipping iced lattes, journals open, hearts wide—you might lean in and ask me, “Amanda, what’s the fastest way to heal? Like, seriously heal?”

Well, sweet friend, I would lean in closer and tell you this:

93% of Americans are struggling with a metabolic disorder. That statistic floors me every single time. Ninety-three percent.

And here’s the hard truth: if you don’t want to be part of that statistic, you can’t live like everyone else does. It means doing things differently—intentionally. It means being radical in how you approach your everyday life.

Most of what fills our grocery store shelves—even those sneaky “health foods”—isn’t real food. It’s processed. It’s chemically altered. It’s wrapped up in pretty packaging that promises health but delivers inflammation and imbalance.

A friend recently made an observation that’s stuck with me ever since. We were talking about a popular local restaurant that refuses to source farm-to-table produce. Even when presented with high-quality, reasonably-priced options, they weren’t interested.

He leaned in and whispered, “Just look at the people who eat there.”

And, friend, I can’t unsee it.

They were tired. Their skin was blotchy. They moved slowly, hunched over plates of foods fried in inflammatory seed oils, filled with additives, hidden sugars, preservatives, gluten, and MSG. And the reality sunk in: this is the norm. It’s easy. It’s convenient. But it’s not truly easy—because the cost on our health and vibrancy is incredibly high.

I’ll be honest: Eating differently, moving intentionally, and nourishing our bodies with whole, real foods isn’t always convenient. It’s not always easy at first. But neither is chronic illness, inflammation, fatigue, and brain fog. You choose your hard.

Here’s how to be radical—practically, daily:

  1. Sleep 7-8 hours: Your body heals and regenerates during deep sleep. Lack of sleep disrupts hormones and metabolism, slowing down healing.

  2. Eat 120 g of Protein: Protein builds muscle, stabilizes blood sugar, and supports your body’s ability to repair.

  3. Eat 30 g of Fiber: Fiber improves gut health, detoxifies the body, stabilizes blood sugar, and keeps you feeling satisfied.

  4. Eat whole foods: Real food provides real nourishment. Whole foods reduce inflammation and provide essential nutrients your body needs to thrive.

  5. Walk 10K steps/day: Movement boosts circulation, reduces stress, and supports metabolism.

  6. Lift heavy 3x a week: Resistance training strengthens muscles, boosts metabolism, and improves bone density, protecting your long-term health.

  7. Hydrate with minerals and electrolytes: Proper hydration ensures your cells function optimally, enhancing energy, clarity, and detoxification.

  8. Create emotion on purpose: Cultivating positive emotions reduces stress hormones and enhances your overall well-being, mentally and physically.

  9. Journal: Processing your thoughts and emotions clears mental clutter, reduces anxiety, and helps you stay intentional and focused.

  10. Play: Fun and relaxation lower cortisol, improve mood, and help you reconnect with joy and purpose.

The reason my clients experience real, lasting success—true transformations—is because they have an advantage. They have someone who’s been down this road, who knows the twists, the turns, and the potholes to avoid. They’re given personalized, intentional guidance that simplifies the hard. Mindset shifts, removing mental roadblocks, real food recipes, and clarity around movement.

When they commit to this kind of radical intentionality, they’re no longer living like the 93%. And it shows—in their vibrant skin, clear eyes, boundless energy, peaceful minds, and joyful spirits.

So, here’s your gentle nudge today: If you don’t want the results of the majority, don’t do life like the majority. Choose radical. Choose intentional. Choose life.
